The boys have been politely debating whether the correct word is "spice" or "spices." Johnny and I weren't really paying attention until about 10 minutes into it. Lincoln asked "Mom, Dad? Can we watch Ratatouille when we get home, because Boone thinks the mouse adds spice but I KNOW it's spicES?"

The world of the children is fabulous and we cannot do anything about it except to enjoy their innocent moments

spice can be a verb

a spice is when the quantity is not a mix of different ingredients

add some spices means he is gonna add pepper +red pepper +green pepper if they had one


even in .....ng when the chef say lets add some spices he adds groups of them,


sugar ,spice and everything nice

I already looked it up. As you said it may be a verb. However, the funny issue in the children's conversation is I wonder why they did not seek their parents judgment. I assume the children were debating whether it's spice or spices in accordance to that program they would watch as they would get at home
